  • Medical Insurance
    ASHP currently pays up to 82.50 percent of employee’s medical coverage and 50 percent of dependent coverage depending on medical coverage selected.
  • Dental Insurance ASHP currently pays 100 percent of employee dental premiums and 50 percent of dependent coverage.
  • Other Insurances
    Staff members receive Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Short-term Disability, Long-term Disability, Travel Accident, Dependent Life.
  • 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan
    Staff members may participate in the 401(k) and Roth 401(k) and contribute up to the IRS maximum. Staff members age 50 or older are eligible to contribute an additional "catch-up" amount. ASHP matches up to 4 percent dollar for dollar.
  • ASHP Retirement Benefit Plan
    Per the approval of the Board of Directors, staff receive retirement contributions based on percentages of their base compensation. This plan follows a vesting schedule.
  • Vacation Leave
    Full time staff members earn 3 weeks of vacation during the first 5 years of employment. The accrual will increase to 4 weeks starting with the 61st month of employment.
  • Sick Leave
    Full time staff members earn 12 days of leave per year.
  • Personal Leave
    Full time staff members receive 3 days of personal leave each January 1.
  • Parental Leave
    The first 150 hours of parental leave is paid by ASHP and no leave is charged.
  • Flexible Spending
    Staff members may set aside tax free dollars to pay for medical care expenses and dependent care expenses.
  • Transportation Assistance
    Full-time non-exempt staff members receive assistance for transportation expenses up to a specified maximum.
  • Transportation Allowance
    Staff members may set aside tax free dollars to pay for public transportation or monthly parking expenses.
  • Tuition Assistance
    ASHP offers 50 percent reimbursement for college courses.
  • Certification Program Reimbursement
    ASHP offers reimbursement for professional certification programs.
  • Credit Union
    Staff members may take advantage of the open membership to ASHP employees at a local credit union.
  • Employee Assistance Program
    Staff members are eligible for professional counseling for issues relating to drug alcohol abuse, stress management, parenting, family and marital issues, legal and financial problems.
